About Us

Our Mission

To restore and grow a healthier dance community around the world from right here in Tulsa.

To instill hope by challenging the standard of dance instruction, not just in the skill of movement but in the quality of teaching.

To establish astounding social dancing and to anchor ballroom in the age of technology.

Our Vision

We aim to use video and the internet to allow you to take your studies home, making practice more practical. All of our in-house instructors hold certifications and work as a team to make your experience with us unlike any other. We have built relationships with our other partner studios here in Tulsa to improve you as a dancer and expose you to every good thing our community has to offer.  Through group classes and parties, creative goofy ideas, and amazing spaces to inspire astounding social dancing.

Our History

Annie and I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of the ballroom world. Shortly after she and I met, we became close friends through a shared passion for the future of dance. The dream of Restoration Ballroom came into existence, prioritizing being a blessing to:

We restore trust, build hope, and train amazing dancers and even better instructors. Covid hit a reset button, but this has happened before. In 1919 Arthur Murray changed the world and opened the most successful dance business ever seen. It worked because he innovated and because he loved people. He used radio and television to give the world social dancing. One hundred years later Restoration Ballroom is designed to incorporate our modern world of education and technology to bring ballroom into the 21st century and beyond.

I began my ballroom study at 12 years old. My younger sister and I, the closer of many siblings, studied mambo for a few weeks that summer. After that, anytime I could perform, I was on a stage. When I was 16, I began my professional study. I began to babysit in exchange for dance lessons. After 6 months, I began a professional internship, where my professional career began.

I have been a professional instructor for 5 years, during which I have taught well over 10,000 lessons, group classes, and parties.

I hold an Associate Bronze World Ballroom dance certification from Arthur Murray International.

I started my ballroom journey in Atlanta when I was 13. My mom found a dance community, and she invited me and my older brother to take lessons with her. I fell in love with ballroom immediately, and when my family moved to Tulsa, we sought out dance once again. Thus beginning my professional training shortly thereafter.

I have received professional training from Warren Tuttle and Ryan McDaniel. I have also performed at public events for the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra 2022 spring concert.

I earned a teaching certification from Strictly Ballroom. I am also the co-founder of Restoration Ballroom.
